I am a materials engineer with a PhD in nanoscience and more than 15 years of experience in advanced materials research and industrial project development. I connect materials science with engineering needs, designing advanced materials—particularly polymeric and composite systems—to deliver specific functions and meet application requirements.
My research has evolved from the study of structure–property relationships at the micro- and nanoscale to the development of functional materials tailored for specific applications. Early activities focused on responsive materials, nanocomposites, and structured surfaces, where control of micro- and nanoscale interactions enabled the tuning of mechanical and interfacial properties.
Building on this foundation, I have developed an application-driven approach that starts with the intended function, operating conditions, and engineering constraints. This perspective guides material formulation and processing, linking control of structure and properties to performance within the final system.
