  1. Teleoperated Robot-Human Interactions

The internship will be carried out in the Group of Humanoid Sensing and Perception coordinated by Lorenzo Natale in the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (Genova, Italy).

General description: Teleoperated humanoid robots can be used as an efficient tool to collect data while interacting with a human partner. You will analyze such data, which will be then used to train learning strategies to make the robot autonomous.

Application through IIT’s recruitment platform here.

  2. Robotic Manipulation Strategies (Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning)

The internship will be carried out in the Group of Humanoid Sensing and Perception coordinated by Lorenzo Natale in the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (Genova, Italy).

General description: In this project, you will develop control strategies for robotic manipulation using Reinforcement and Imitation Learning, leveraging simulation, real-world data, and multi-modal perception to enable robust sim-to-real transfer performance.

Application through IIT’s recruitment platform here.

  3. Development of New Segmentation Tools

The internship will be carried out in the Group of Humanoid Sensing and Perception coordinated by Lorenzo Natale in the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (Genova, Italy).

General description: You will be involved in developing a new and versatile segmentation tool that can combine several existing methods, enhancing them with the ability to segment also cartoons, and that can be used also as semi-automatic annotation tool for segmentation datasets.

Application through IIT’s recruitment platform here.

  4. Development of a Visual-Language Foundational Model

The internship will be carried out in the Group of Humanoid Sensing and Perception coordinated by Lorenzo Natale in the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (Genova, Italy).

General description: You will be involved in the development of a Visual-Language foundational model for narrative-based Humanoid-Robot Interaction.

Application through IIT’s recruitment platform here.

  5. Living Models of Plant/Fungal Symbiosis

The internship will be carried out in the Group of Bioinspired Soft Robotics coordinated by Barbara Mazzolai in the Center for Converging Technologies (Genova, Italy).

General description: Plant-fungi symbiosis is being investigated as a model to extract communication strategies for robotic systems. Your goal will be to implement experimental protocols to characterize this biological model and its key variables.

Application through IIT’s recruitment platform here.

  6. Smart Artificial Devices

The internship will be carried out in the Group of Bioinspired Soft Robotics coordinated by Barbara Mazzolai in the Center for Converging Technologies (Genova, Italy).
