About

Giacomo Venturi received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Pisa in October 2020. His thesis, carried out under the supervision of Dr. Simone Zanotto and Prof. Alessandro Tredicucci, aimed at the design and experimental characterization of chiral metasurfaces to study the phenomenon of chiral coherent absorption.

In November 2020 he moved to Politecnico di Milano to pursue his PhD. Since then, he is part of the Vectorial Nano-imaging group led by Dr. Antonio Ambrosio at CNST-IIT@PoliMi. His research activity focuses on the investigation of two-dimensional materials properties with optical spectroscopy and scanning probe microscopy methods.
