Amir Souhail received his BEng degree from Namal Institute, Pakistan (Affiliated with University of Bradford, UK) in 2015 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering , and the MEng degree from the Prince of Songkla University, Hatyai, Thailand, in 2019 in Mechanical Engineering (Soft Robotics). In His MEng. thesis, he focused on designing and fabrication of soft pneumatic actuators and assembly for soft grippers and soft rehabilitation robotic glove for stroke patients. In Oct 2020, he joined the Italian Institute of technology (center for Materials Interfaces) and Institute of BioRobotics, Sant'Anna School of Advance studies, Pisa, Italy as PhD student. In this position, his work will be focused on soft robots inspired from sea star. currently he is working on variable stiffness/ stiffness modulation inspired from sea star tube feet.
