The research activity was focused on the electrochemical studies of electrode surfaces modified with layered double hydroxides (LDHs) containing different cations or conducting polymers for energy and sensing applications.

From July 2017: Post Doc position at Center for Nanotechnology Innovation of Pisa (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia @NEST). The research activity concerns the development of a graphene sensor specifically functionalized for the preconcentration and detection of glioblastoma markers (GLIOMICS project, FAS Regione Toscana).
From January 2016 to June 2017: Post doctoral fellow at the Analytical Chemistry group ("Toso Montanari" Department of Industrial Chemistry, University of Bologna, Italy). The main research topic concerned the study of materials for electroanalysis and energy storage and the development of biosensors based reduced graphene oxide/multiwalled carbon nanotubes and enzymes for the amperometric detection of polyphenols in food samples.
