Enrico Valli received the MSc degree in electronic engineering from the University of Bologna (Italy) with a research thesis on System-on-Chip developed at University of Southampton (United Kingdom). After a first working experience as software developer in a company involved in the automotive industry, in 2008 he joined the European Space Agency (ESA) at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk (The Netherlands). During the decade spent in the Space sector, he was mainly involved in the management of accredited laboratories and in the development of electronic systems for Thermal Vacuum – Thermal Balance (TV-TB) tests performed in the ESA large thermal vacuum facilities. Moreover, during the same period, he was involved as project manager in the realization of a telecommunication start-up company within the frame of the ESA Business Incubator project.

Since May 2019, he is working at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, where he is involved in the management and development of a wearable wireless sensors network, within the frame of the An.Dy. European project.
