From Nov 2010 Post-Doctoral position at Italian Institute of Tecnology, IIT@NEST- Center for Nanotechnology Innovation, Pisa, Italy.

2006-2010 Research position at Institute of Clinical Physiology, CNR – Pisa, Italy. Project: Markers/targets identification & validation and biological pathway assessment through proteomic and Mass Spectrometry investigation in cardiovascular diseases.

2008 Degree in Drug Quality Control (106/110), University of Pisa, Italy.

2007 PhD in Medical Pathophysiology and Pharmacology. University of Pisa, Italy. Project: A Proteomic approach for the identification of early markers of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells (VSMC) activation

2003 Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (110/110). University of Pisa, Italy.

Research Activity:

My research interest lies within the study of complex molecular systems for diagnostics and therapeutics in cells and in vivo. In particular in the development of new modular systems, able to perform efficiently channeling, selective targeting, imaging, and controlled release of appropriate payloads. This means:

  • peptide solid-phase chemical synthesis;
  • purification of synthetic peptides and mass spectrometry characterization;
  • chemical functionalization and labeling of the developed sequences with fluorescent or magnetic probes;
