Carlo Filippeschi is a Technician in the Bioinspired Soft Robotics research line of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). He received his High School Diploma Degree in Industrial Phisycs, at the "L. Da Vinci" Technical Institute of Pisa in 1984. During 1990 he began his activity as a technician at the Bioengineering Laboratories of E.Piaggio Center of the University of Pisa. From 1991 until 2010 he continued as technician at the Advanced Robotics and Micro engineering laboratories of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna under direction of Prof. Paolo Dario. Starting from 2010 he was transferred to the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) to collaborate at the start-up of the CMBR (Center for Micro-Biorobotics) in Pontedera and since 2014 he has been hired at the same Center directed by Dr. Barbara Mazzolai. His main research interests include overseeing, operating and maintaining, of micro and nanotechnology facilities for manufacturing and characterization of bio-inspired robotics device.
