About

At the end of 2019, I completed my PhD at Bangor University under the supervision of Dr. Ken Valyear. Using a range of behavioural, neuroimaging, and brain stimulation methods, my thesis investigated the cognitive and nerual mechanisms of human hand selection.

Currently, I am a postdoc researcher as part of the Neuroscience and Behaviour line of the Italian Institute of Technology, Rome, led by Prof. Giandomenico Iannetti. Ongoing projects aim to investigate the neurophysiological markers of human peripersonal space, and their relationship to goal-directed behaviour and action selection.

Interests

Sensorimotor neuroscience Action selection Action planning and control fMRI TMS EEG

Projects

I am interested in investigating the fundamental questions about how the brain mediates goal-directed actions.

In particular, the cognitive architecture and neural underpinnings of action selection, planning, and control, and the interplay between these processes in the context of defensive behaviour.
