About

Adriano Sacco was born in Palermo on 14th of June 1979. He graduated in Electronics Engineering at the University of Palermo in July 2006. The subject of his degree thesis was the characterisation of UV photodetectors.

From January 2007 to December 2009 he worked in the “Materials and Processes for Micro & Nano Technologies” group of Politecnico di Torino on systems dedicated to laser-based processes (marking, micromachining, welding) and sensors for agrifood industry.

From January 2010 to December 2012 he was PhD student in Electronic Devices at Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with the Center for Space Human Robotics @PoliTO of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT-CSHR). The topic of his research activity is the characterisation of third generation photovoltaic cells based on organic dyes (Dye-sensitized Solar Cells).

Since January 2012 he is working as Junior Technician at the Center for Space Human Robotics @PoliTO of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT-CSHR).
