Matilde Mazzini is a support technician at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the "Human-Robot Interfaces and Physical Interaction" lab. She works as a Computer Vision Engineer on an internal startup project, Real-Move.
Matilde received her Bachelor Computer Engineering degree from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2019, and her M.Sc. degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2022 with a thesis on a 3D Object Detection System for Augmented Reality applications.
She is passionate about merging machine learning, computer vision, and immersive technologies. Her experience ranges from AI research for motion capture, to machine learning applied in VFX. She specializes in building AI-driven solutions that optimize motion capture data and enhance AR/VR experiences, always eager to learn, collaborate, and innovate at the intersection of AI, computer vision, and immersive entertainment.
