I am a Post-Doc at the Human-Robot Interfaces and physical Interaction (HRI²) group at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Genoa. In 2021 I defended my PhD thesis entitled "Ergonomic and Worker-Centric Human-Robot Collaboration: Strategies, Interfaces and Controllers", carried out at the HRI² and at the Department of Information Engineering,  University of Pisa, Italy, evaluated with Excellent Cum Laude. I received a B.Sc. degree in Information Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Control and Automation Engineering from University of Padova, Italy, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. My research, developed within the Horizon-2020 European project SOPHIA, the ERC grant Ergo-Lean, the Amazon Research Awards 2019, and the Horizon-2020 European project CONCERT, focuses on combining robotics knowledge with artificial intelligence (AI), with the aim to boost collaborative robotics in smart factories. I am also involved in industrial-oriented projects, such as JOiiNT LAB IIT-Intellimech at Kilometro Rosso Innovation District, the National BRIC grant BRISK, and the commercial HIRO. My interests lie in human-robot collaboration, AI, robot control and learning.
