About

Pietro Rossi was born in Monza (Italy) in 1994. He studied at Politecnico di Milano, where he obtained a BSc degree in Materials Engineering (2016), followed by a MSc degree in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology (2019). Between 2018-2019, he has been a visiting research student at the  Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where under the co-supervision of Prof. G. Lanzani and Prof. C. Soci he studied interfacial interactions between semiconducting polymers and electrolytes applying optical techniques.

In 2023 he was awarded a PhD in Physics at Politecnico di Milano with a thesis entitled "Structure-property relationships in n-type doped organic semiconductors for thermoelectrics", working at CNST@Polimi (Center for Nano Science and Technology - Italian Institute of Technology) under the supervision of  Dr. M. Caironi. His research activity focuses on the development of organic semiconducting materials to be applied in flexible thermoelectric generators, in particular studying charge transport properties in doped systems.
