Amit Sain is a Mechanical Design Engineer with more than 8 years of Industrial experience in Robotics Field (excluding 2 years of Robotic Competitions experience in University). He has done his B.tech in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from GGSIPU Delhi, India and M.tech In Design engineering from BITS Pilani, India. He has worked 4 years in India for Design and Development of Tracked and Wheeled robots for Defense Organization of India, Stair climbing robot, Collaborative robotic Arm etc. He then moved to Cambridge (England) to work on Various Innovate UK and EC funded projects including Exoskeleton project for elderly people, ATEX certified submerged petrol tank NDT inspection robot, MEMS wafer inspection using X-Rays and Chain climbing Inspection robot for Ship Anchor chain etc.
In Aug 2019, he moved to Genoa (Italy) to work with DLS LAB on HyQReal Robot until Jan 2020. From Feb 2020 until Jan 2021 he focused on designing of HyQReal2 Robot, the upgraded version of HyQReal Robot. Currently He is working on some latest version of HyQReal Robot Family.
