Amirreza Shayganpour is an accomplished bioengineering and materials science professional specializing in thermal management and developing thermal interface materials (TIM) for advanced technologies, battery technology, and energy storage systems. With a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Robotics from the Università degli Studi di Genova, he has comprehensively understood advanced materials and their applications. During his doctoral studies, he focused on developing and validating Nanoporous metal oxides using anodization and characterization techniques. Additionally, he researched dental restorative composites and implants, employing alumina and Titania materials and optimizing their fabrication using Design of Experiments (DoE) methods.

As a postdoctoral researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in the group of Smart Materials, Amir concentrated on characterizing thermal interface materials to improve their thermal conductivity and efficiency. His research focused on functional coatings, particularly those related to Nanocarbon-based material solutions. Collaborating with Nanoramic Laboratories in Boston, USA, he furthered his research and development endeavors, focusing on developing polymer composite materials, functional coatings, and energy storage technology. He has significantly contributed to optimizing TIMs, batteries, electrolyte design, and electrode morphology. His expertise has created novel materials to enhance battery performance, safety, and efficiency.
