I am a PhD student at Italian Institute of Technology. My area of research is focused on creation of in vitro Down syndrome model from induced pluripotent stem cells and molecular profiling of non-coding RNAs.
My previous area of work was focused on molecular profiling of liquid biopsies in oncologic patients, to be used as an alternative to classical tumour biopsies.
I also worked in the field of regenerative medicine, where I was involved in the isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles derived from alternative cell sources differentiated from iPSCs for cartilage regeneration. and on the use of 3D cell cultures as an alternative system for the isolation of extracellular vesicles from primary cultures of mesenchymal stromal cells, compared to the classic 2D cultures widely used so far.
