About

Valentina Di Francesco is a PhD Student in “Bioengineering and Robotics” at the university of Genoa. She is carrying out the doctoral activities at the laboratory of the Nanotechnology for Precision Medicine of Professor Paolo Decuzzi at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, since November 2017. Her research activities have focused on the design, preparation, physicochemical characterization, in vitro and in vivo evaluation of Supramolecular Nanotherapeutics for systemic delivery of bioactive compounds for cardiovascular disease, in particular Atherosclerosis.

She achieved her MSc Degree in Chemistry and Pharmacology Technology in at the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti – Pescara in March 2016, with a thesis on "Therapeutic non phospholipid vesicles for neuronal anticancer treatment" under the supervision of Prof. Luisa Di Marzio (University of Chieti-Pescara “G.d’Annunzio”).
