About

Marco holds a Bachelor (2009) and a Master (2011) degrees in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy) with a focus on Solid-state and Semiconductor Materials Physics. In 2016, he obtained his PhD in Materials Science with a thesis on the "Thermoelectric properties of Bi1-xSbx Nanowires electrodeposited in Etched Ion-track Membranes" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christina Trautmann and Dr. Eugenia Toimil-Molares at the Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung (GSI, Darmstadt, Germany). Afterwards, he was a scientific worker at the Technische Universität Darmstadt (TUC) developing new inorganic materials and platforms for thermoelectric applications. Since 2017 he is a Post Doc in the group of Dr. Mario Caironi at the CNST in Milan, where he studies the doping process and themoelectric performances of new organic semiconductor materials and fabricates efficient and flexible organic thermoelectric generators by printing techniques.
