Gaofeng Li received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Nankai University, Tianjin, China, in 2013 and 2018, respectively. He was a visiting student in Netbot Lab., Texas A&M University, USA from Nov. 2015 to Dec. 2016. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Genova, Italy. His research interests include Model-less Motion Control, Lie Group in Robotics, Haptic Teleoperation, and Soft Robotics.

He won the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Nankai University and Tianjin in 2019. He is a member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. He is an independent Reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE), IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronic (T-Mech), IEEE Robotic and Automation Letters (RA-L), IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics (AIM), and IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE), etc.
