Nicolò Boccardo received the PhD in Health, Sustainable and Human Technologies from Open University and ARC@IIT, M.Sc. degree in Robotics Engineering and the B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering and the at University of Genoa (Italy) in 2026, 2013 and 2011, respectively. He worked as fellow researcher at the European Centre of Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneve (Switzerland) in the EN/STI-ECE Group, focusing on high precision particle beam collimation. After a brief experience in the transportation industry at Bombardier, he was involved in the development of the Hannes prosthetic System at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) from 2014. Since then, he is actively involved into technology transfer and R&D activities. Currently he is Chief Mechatronic Engineer and Team Leader of the Hannes prosthetic system at the Rehab Technologies Laboratory (IIT) in Genoa (Italy), with deep knowledge of hi-tech medical devices. His expertise lies in the development of novel mechatronic systems in the robotics and prosthetic field.
