Giulia Scorza Azzarà is a determined, practical, and logical person. She likes to challenge herself and learn new things.

She received her B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 and M.Sc. degree in Robotics Engineering in 2021 from the University of Genoa. In 2021 she started her Ph.D. in Cognitive Robotics, Interaction, and Rehabilitation Technologies at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) of Genoa, in the research line of Robotics Brain and Cognitive Sciences (RBCS).

Her principal research interest is Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), with a focus on cognitive robotics and humanoid robots. The thin line between human and artificial intelligence has always fascinated her. In particular, she likes the idea that starting from human-human observation and building a simplified model to study, new applications can be developed to improve the functionalities of the machines during human-robot interaction.
