Elise Allix-Desfautaux is a Research Support Administrative Junior at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genoa, Italy, where she has worked since 2024. She works on communications and programme management for the Technologies for Sustainability Flagship (SUSTech).
SUSTech brings together more than 200 researchers across 38 laboratories. They work on sustainable energy, materials circularity, green robotics and water. Her role is to connect this research with the people who can use it: colleagues across IIT, industry partners, policymakers and the public.
She supports the Flagship in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and external communication, including its LinkedIn presence. Researchers can contact her to share results, plan events or prepare outreach for SUSTech. Having spent a year in IIT's Communication and External Relations Directorate and six months in the Diversity, Inclusion and Social Impact Office, she also knows how the Institute works and can help colleagues find the right people to contact.
