Caterina Montani graduated with a degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University of Florence, and she received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Milan. During her Ph.D., she characterized molecular mechanisms by which alterations of target genes can contribute to ASD-related phenotype. As a postdoctoral fellow at University of Trento, she focused on in vitro Electrophysiology and in vivo study of neurotransmitter release with fluorescent sensor. Since February 2019, she is part of the Functional Neuroimaging as a postdoctoral fellow. Her Research focuses on neural circuitry recruited by oxytocin release.
