About

Chiara obtained her bachelor and master degree in Biotechnology at the University of Naples "Federico II". During her studies, her research experiences were in the molecular neurobiology field: she worked on the etiopathogenesis of Multiple Sclerosis and on the role of microRNAs able to exert neuroprotection in animal model of Stroke.  After her graduation, Chiara completed 5-months internship at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg (ZMNH), where she worked on memory reconsolidation in aged mice at the behavioral and cellular level.
Chiara is currently developing her doctoral studies at the Functional Neuroimaging Laboratory, directed by Dr. Alessandro Gozzi. Her project aims to validate  Functional Ultrasound Imaging (fUS) as a tool to map brain-wide neural circuits in the mouse model.
