My research focuses on understanding neurodevelopment and the mechanisms underlying neurological disorders through the development of advanced human in vitro models. In particular, I am interested in the use of 3D bioprinting to study neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), with the aim of creating more physiologically relevant models of the human nervous system.
By combining iPSC-derived neuronal models with 3D bioprinting approaches, I investigate neuronal development, neuroinflammation, and disease-related mechanisms in a human-relevant context. My current research focuses on Kabuki Syndrome, investigating the interplay between epigenetic regulation, nuclear mechanics, and neuronal development using patient-derived iPSC models and advanced 2D and 3D culture systems.
