Çağlar holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in neuroscience. In his master's thesis, he studied alterations in neuronal morphology in a rat model of autism, focusing on dendrites and dendritic spines. He is currently a PhD student in the Brain Development and Disease group led by Laura Cancedda.
His present research focuses on the impact of developmental stress on social behavior. His further interests include functional morphology and evolutionary biology.
