IIT runs an internal programme of continuous professional development in the areas of

Transferable skills: scientific writing, publishing, public talking;
Funding and impact: where to go for funding, how to plan and assess the impact of research on society;
Entrepreneurship and tech transfer: patents and intellectual property, start-upping, interactions with companies, etc.;
Societal needs: the big questions and the related regulatory issues.
