Ana Maria Panaite is a PhD student at Nanomaterials for Biological Applications (NABM) group, at Istituto Italiano di Technologia (IIT), Genova, Italy. Previously, she received a Master Degree in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry and a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from University of Basque Country in Spain.

Ana is involved in a multidisciplinary research project focused on engineering the surface of magnetic nanoparticles with Metal Organic Framework (MOFs) for hyperthermia and drug delivery applications, under the supervision of Dr. Teresa Pellegrino (IIT), Dr. Pablo del Pino (USC) and Dr. Orietta Monticelli (UniGe). 

She is currently joining the BioNanoTools laboratory (USC), performing part of her PhD project.
