ACDSA Conference

Participation in the ACDSA Conference

On February 7th, 2026 we participated in the online session of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Computer, Data Sciences and Applications. We presented the results of a semantic segmentation task on the looting pits of three different archaeological sites, studied within the ALCEO project. The results of this part of the project will be published in the conference proceedings on IEEE Explorer.

Kick off Meeting - REPRISE

The ALCEO Project Enters Its Second Stage!

The ALCEO project has successfully entered its second stage, following an extension of the initial phase. This renewal secures another year of funding and development.

In this second stage, ALCEO will focus on building an Active Learning platform aimed at streamlining the annotation of looting pits. The platform will help enhance model performance while significantly reducing the need for large volumes of manually labelled images.

This development represents an important step forward in applying machine learning to cultural heritage protection.
