About

Salvatore D’Alessandro, a PhD student in tissue engineering, holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome in 2018. Currently, is pursuing his PhD at Sapienza University of Rome in cooperation with Istituto Italiano Tecnologie (IIT), with a focus on Tissue Engineering. The aim of his project is to investigate in Additive Manufacturing (AM) process engineering, designing, and producing anatomical irregular implant for the skeletal tissue regeneration.

Salvatore is driven by a passion for Regenerative Medicine and desire to make a meaningful contribution to the field. Throughout is studies, he has developed and honed his skills in mechatronics designing and controlling complex system like a robotic arm, which is used like a tool for the AM processes. Furthermore, Salvatore is also employed in the field of printing with bio-inks and in the deposition of electrospun nanofibers. These experiences have allowed him to gain extensive knowledge in these highly specialized areas.

Overall, Salvatore is a hard-working and dedicated individual who is committed to excellence in their field.
