I am currently the Coordinator of the Rehab Technology IIT INAIL Lab, an innovation lab jointly created by IIT and INAIL to develop new prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitation devices of high technological impact and market potential.
I am also in charge of the Innovation and Development area of the Technology Transfer at IIT, with responsibilities on licensing intellectual property, developing industrial alliances, and supporting the launch of spin off companies.
Since 2013 I am contract Professor at the University of Genoa – Faculty of Economics - in Collaborative Innovation and Technology Transfer.
Since 2011 I am member of the Governing Board of the “Fondazione Ricerca & Imprenditorialità”, a non-profit organization funded by major Italian banks, large industries and top research institutes to promote innovation and high tech start-up companies.
Regarding my background, I hold a M.S. in Physics (Material Science), and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics) from University of Genoa, Italy. In addition I accomplished an extensive training on intellectual property rights and innovation management both in Italy and abroad.
