About

I studied Biomedical medicine and Nanobiotechnology at the University of Lecce.  During the internship carried out in my master's degree, I investigated the biological activity of functionalized gold nanoparticles on breast cancer cell cultures.

I am currently doing a Ph.D. in Physics and Nanoscience at the University of Genoa. My research activity takes place with Prof. Alberto Diaspro’s group, in the Nanoscopy Department of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. My project is focused on the use of label-free techniques such as ptychography for the deep study of different inorganic and organic samples. The goal is to understand the structure and inner composition of these samples, by analyzing the phase shift of light passing through them.
