Marco Pisanello was born on March 24th, 1988. He obtained the Bachelor's Degree in ICT Engineering in January 2011 at Università del Salento (graduation mark: 110/110 magna cum laude), and the Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering in April 2013 at Università del Salento (graduation mark: 110/110 magna cum laude). He was also a student in the Istituto Superiore Universitario per la Formazione Interdisciplinare (ISUFI) for both the pre-bachelor and pre-master course in which he graduated with the maximum mark. He obtained the Ph.D. in Materials, structures and nanotechnology Engineering in June 2017 at Università del Salento, with a thesis on the design and fabrication of tapered and nano-patterned optical fibers for application in optogenetics.
