About

Jacopo Zenzeri graduated at the University of Pavia in 2006 in Biomedical Engineering (magna cum laude), with a thesis on modeling of ferromagnetic shape memory alloys. In 2009 he took the Master Degree in Bioengineering, specialization in Neuroengineering (magna cum laude) at the University of Genoa, with a thesis on analysis and modeling of whole body movements. In 2013 he obtained the PhD in Robotics, Cognition and Interaction Technologies from the University of Genoa and Italian Institute of Technology with a thesis on the problem of coordination of redundant degrees of freedom in humans and humanoids. As PhD student, he was involved in the EU funded HUMOUR project.

Currently he leads the Motor Learning, Assistive and Rehabilitation Robotics Laboratory (MLARR) in the Robotics, Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department at the Italian Institute of Technology. He is the author/co-author of more than 50 papers published in refereed journals, edited books, and refereed conference proceedings. His main research interests are in motor learning, rehabilitation robotics, haptics, neural control of movements and assistive technologies.
