Giacomo Venturi received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Pisa in 2020. His thesis, carried out under the supervision of Dr. Simone Zanotto and Prof. Alessandro Tredicucci, aimed at the design and experimental characterization of chiral metasurfaces.
He then moved to Milan where, in 2024, he got his PhD in Physics from Politecnico Milano, after a joint collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). Since 2020, he is part of the Vectorial Nano-imaging group led by Dr. Antonio Ambrosio at CNST-IIT@PoliMi. His research activity focuses on the investigation of two-dimensional materials properties with optical spectroscopy and scanning probe microscopy.
