Pietro Morasso was born in Genoa, Italy, april 30, 1944

Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering cum laude, 1968, University of Genoa. Tutor: Prof. G. Biorci.

MIT Dept. of Psychology, Neurophysiology lab of Prof. Emilio Bizzi: post-doctoral fellow,  Fullbright fellow,  Visiting professor l (1970-1978).

Engineering Faculty of the Genoa University: Assistant professor, Associate professor, Full professor (1970-2009); Coordinator of  Doctoral Programme in Robotics (1991-97), Doctoral Programme in Bioengineering and Bioelectronics (1998-2000); Chairman of the Course of Study in Biomedical Enegineering (1998-2007).

Scientific director of the Bioengineering Center, Hospital Arenzano (1995-2005).

Senior Researcher Italian Institute of Technology, director of the  Motor Learning and Rehabilitation lab (RBCS dept) (2010-).

Scientific interests: neural control of movement, motor learning, neuromotor rehabilitation, robot-therapy, computational neuroscience, biomimetic humanoid robot control
