About

1989-1994: High School at Liceo scientifico "G. GALILEI".

1994-1999: Degree course in Pharmacy, University of Bologna (Italy). Degree thesis entitled: " Effetti modulatori delle variazioni di pH sulle correnti di cloro in astrociti corticali di ratto in coltura " Pharmacy degree, 21th July 1999. Supervisor: Prof. Carmela Rapisarda and Dr. Stefano Ferroni.

1999-2002: PhD-student in Cellular Physiology and Neuroimmunophysiology at Dipartimento di Fisiologia Umana e Generale, Università degli Studi di Bologna (supported by University of Siena).

02/2003: Ph-D degree, thesis entitled: “Electrophysiological and biological effects of arachidonic acid on cultured rat cortical astrocytes” (Thesis advisors: Dr. S. Ferroni, Dr. C. Rapisarda). 

04/2003-2009: Post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute of Molecular and cellular biology, Miguel Hernandez University of Elche, Spain, in the laboratory of Antonio Ferrer Montiel.

01/2010- at the moment: Senior Post-doctoral fellowship at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genova, Italy, in the laboratory of Fabio Benfenati and Pietro Baldelli at Department of Neuroscience and Brain Technologies
