Nadia Garino was born in Cuneo (CN) in 1981. She got her bachelor degree in Chemistry cum laude at the University of Torino in September 2003 and she got her master degree in Chemistry (Advanced Chemical Methodologies, specialized in Reactivity and Catalysis) cum laude at the Università di Torino in September 2005.
In November 2005, she passed the qualifying examination for Chemistry practice.
She got the Ph.D. in Chemical Science (XXI cycle) in December 2008 at Università di Torino.
She had several Post-Doctoral Researcher positions at Politecnico di Torino for the development and characterization of innovative materials for electrochromic applications and cells for energy applications (i.e., Li-based batteries).
Starting from January 1th 2012, she is a researcher of the Center for Space Human Robotics of the Italian Institute of Technology – IIT, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino (IIT@POLITO).
Her research activity is focused on materials for the Energy platform. In particular the research is focused on systems for the energy storage and production: synthesis, structural-morphological and electrochemical characterization of meso-/nanostructured electrode materials for lithium cells with nanostructured electrodes and polymer electrolytes.
