Carlo finished his studies in Theoretical Philosophy at the Catholic University of Milan (Italy) in 2018. During the last year of his master’s degree he devoted his research on how the perception of the world is influenced by fantasy and to the field of empathy in social interaction, both adopting a phenomenological approach. He wrote his dissertation during a period at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany, with particular attention to Marc Richir’s thought.

At present, he works at IIT as a Collaborator for the ERC-founded wHiSPER project, centralizing his research on perceptual and cognitive structures of sociality within Human-Robot Interaction. In this research field, his interest is mainly focused on space perception and shared perception of environment.
