Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia is offering a Junior Post-doc position in the field of micro/nano-fabrication. In particular, the successful candidate is expected to become fully independent in the various micro/nano-fabrication techniques present in our Nanofabrication facility within 12 months from the beginning of the contract. Afterwards, he/she will be expected to promptly respond to the different requests coming from the lab in terms of research activities, with a special emphasis in the “Fabrication of energy harvesting/storage devices”.
Applicants must have a PhD (experimental) in Physics, Mathematics, Nanotechnology or similar discipline obtained no more than 1 year from the date of the application. No particular knowledge in micro/nano-fabrication is required as the candidates will be evaluated based on their attitude to learn and develop independent ideas.
The successful applicant will interact with international staff therefore he/she must be able to communicate in English. For the same reason particular attention will be given to the candidates with international experience (master or PhD thesis conducted overseas) or with already experience in dealing with different research groups, such as in domestic or international projects. Furthermore, the successful candidate will work in close contact with theoreticians therefore team-work attitude will be seriously evaluated. Finally, knowledge of electrochemistry and/or electronic transport will be considered a plus.
Applications, including a research statement, detailed curriculum vitae and names/contacts of at least 2 referees, should be submitted in PDF format to: Remo Proietti Zaccaria (firstname.lastname@example.org) quoting “Post doc in Micro/Nano fabrication CB 75553” in the subject line.
