We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in micro-/nano-fabrication for a postdoctoral position within the “Microtechnology for Neuroelectronics” Research Line.
The successful candidate will be working on collaborative and multidisciplinary research projects to realize implantable neuroelectronic active micro-devices based on CMOS circuits for chronic brain interfaces (for reference see Angotzi et al. 2019). To this purpose, she/he will study micro-/nano-fabrication processes to structure CMOS devices and optimize their electrode-/probe-tissue interface for chronic large-scale recordings at single-neuron resolution and electrical stimulation.
Expertise in micro-/nano-fabrication processes to realize BioMEMs devices, is a mandatory prerequisite. Previous experience with electrochemistry, materials science and brain interfaces will be highly valued.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science and have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. A strong research track record is not strictly required.
Salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience and in line with international standards.
Applications, including detailed curriculum vitae and name and contacts of 2 referees, must be submitted in PDF format to email@example.com quoting “Postdoctoral position in micro-/nano-fabrication of implantable neuroelectronic devices CB BDIITLF14” in the subject line.
