Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT is seeking for one post-doctoral candidate focusing on the development of sensing technologies based on two-dimensional crystals to be embedded in Li-ion or other batteries capable of spatially and time-resolved monitoring of battery performances. Different types of photodetectors will be initially considered together with printing technologies capable to insert such devices in the battery.
The selected candidate will join the Graphene Labs of IIT in Genova (http://graphene.iit.it) working in a multidisciplinary environment with access to the lab facilities for the production of 2D-crystals, their optical/electrical and morphological characterization, production of electrodes, half and full cells and their electrochemical characterization, production and printing of optoelectronic devices and their characterization. He/she will work in strict collaboration with European institutions.
Eligible applicants will have a PhD in Physics, Material Science, or Chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates with proven expertise in sensor technologies.
