Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT (www.iit.it) is opening a post-doctoral position on time-resolved photo-emission electron spectroscopy and microscopy with the aim of developing a spatially resolved pump&push photo-electron spectroscopy set-up, which will allow to probe interfacial electronic states and the fate of photo-generated carriers across semiconducting materials interfaces.
Semiconducting metal halide perovskites, and devices based on them, will be the primary systems under investigation.
This research activity will be carried out at the “Center for Nano Science and Technology” of Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Milan (Italy), under the supervision of Dr Annamaria Petrozza in the framework of the Horizon 2020 ERC Consolidator Grant SOPHY - The role of Softness in the Physics of Defects: Probing Buried Interfaces in Perovskites Optoelectronic Devices (GA n.771528).
Eligible applicants are required to have a PhD either in physics, physical chemistry or a related discipline and proven experimental expertise in photo-emission electron microscopy.
The closing date for applications is 31st of January 2019 and applications, including a cover letter, CV and name of two referees should be sent to Annamaria.firstname.lastname@example.org quoting “1 Post-Doctoral position on Time-resolved Photo-emission Electron spectroscopy and microscopy CB 75616” in the subject of the email
Salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience and in line with international standards.
IIT was established in 2003 and successfully created a large-scale infrastructure in Genova and a network of 10 state-of-the-art laboratories countrywide with an international staff of about 1100 people from more than 50 countries. IIT's research endeavour focuses on high-tech and innovation, representing the forefront of technology with possible application from medicine to industry, computer science, robotics, life sciences and nano-biotechnologies.
