Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT is seeking for two post-doctoral positions focusing on the development of functional 2D materials-based inks for large area deposition on flexible substrate for the realization of contact and sliding mode triboelectric nanogenerators. The work is devoted towards the structural design of the nanogenerator and its integration with a solar cell and supercapacitor with the final implementation in a smart textile. The successful candidates will work in the framework of the Future & Emerging Technologies flagship project on graphene and other 2D crystals, Graphene Flagship (http://graphene-flagship.eu/), funded by the European Commission with Grant Agreement n. 785219 for the 2013-2023 period.
The selected candidates will join the Graphene Labs of IIT in Genova (http://graphene.iit.it) working in a multidisciplinary environment with access to the lab facilities for the production of 2D-crystal-based inks by liquid-phase exfoliation, their optical/electrical and morphological characterization, production of composites combining 2d crystals with carbon-based nanostructures. He/she will work in strict collaboration with European institutions and companies.
Eligible applicants will have a PhD in Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry or Physics. Preference will be given to candidates with proven expertise in deposition and coating techniques and energy storage devices.
