Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT is seeking for one fellowship position which will focus on the Radiolabeling of nanocrystals for radiotherapy and imaging applications in the Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications Research group, under the supervision of Dr. Teresa Pellegrino.
Eligible candidates should have recently obtained a Master’s Degree in radio-chemistry and/or nuclear medicine. Our ideal candidate will have gained experience in the radiolabeling of biomolecules/polymer/nanocrystals for imaging and/or therapy applications at a master’s level. In particular, laboratory experience with radiolabeling protocols, the development of PET drugs and the associated procedures of handling radioactive materials, as well as knowledge of characterization techniques such as thin liquid chromatography, radio-scanners and PET imaging is required.
The candidate will work in the framework of the ERC project ‘Colloidal Inorganic Nanostructures for Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy’ (ICARO), developing strategies and procedures for the radiolabeling of nanomaterials with medical relevant radionuclide (mainly 64Cu and 177Lu).
The ICARO project is funded by the European Union's H2020 ERC Programme with Grant Agreement N° 678109.
