We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in single molecule biophysics.
The candidate must have experience in fluorescence spectroscopy, in particular FCS, FRET, FLIM, FRAP based techniques, TIRF, colocalization and SERS.
A strong background in nano-optics is required whereas expertise in Plasmonics will be considered a plus. Expertise in assay methodology and design, single-molecule assays and in statistical analysis and single molecule tracking is desirable.
The candidate to this position will work on a challenging project in the fields of plasmonics and single molecule detection by enhanced spectroscopy.
We offer a post-doctoral position in Genoa with competitive annual remuneration depending on candidate’s experience.
The appointed post doc will be in charge of investigating and optimizing novel approaches for the single molecule spectroscopy of biomolecules interactions with noble metal nanostructures. The design and the fabrication of the nanostructures will be carried out by the rest of the group.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering or related disciplines.
Interested candidates should send their CV with names of 2 referees to firstname.lastname@example.org by February 28, 2018 quoting “Postdoctoral position in single molecule spectroscopy / Optics BC: 74835” in the subject of the email.
