The Center integrates multidisciplinary expertise ranging from Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Biology and Pharmacology. Laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge instrumentations for molecular and material synthesis, micro- and nano-fabrication, surface and morphological characterization, along with state-of-art equipment for cell and molecular biology

The Center is seeking a highly motivated and talented candidate to provide multifunctional and varied technical support in the field of micro- and nano-fabrication.

The Clean Room of the Center operates state-of-the-art equipment for the top-down realization of unconventional devices located at the strategic conjunction between material science, electronics, biology and nanomedicine. Full support to the Center research lines is provided within a highly dynamic environment endowed with leading-edge processing techniques.

The selected candidate will have a key role in the day-to-day activities of the Clean Room of the Center fulfilling the following responsibilities:

  • Assist the cleanroom users and staff with the operation and execution of processing protocols.
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure safety, effectiveness and quality during production operations.
  • Perform clean room maintenance and preparation of all the equipment necessary for the daily fabrication plan.
  • Provide and maintain clean room garments inventory and consumables, perform housekeeping, plant upkeep, and related activities throughout the processing area.
  • Moreover, he/she will support IIT researchers in the implementation and optimization of fabrication protocols recurring to 2D and 3D lithography, thin film deposition, reactive ion etching and focused ion beam.

The ideal candidate will have at least a M. Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related subject with hands-on experience in nanotechnology and cleanroom-based fabrication techniques. He/she will have a good understanding in the fundamentals of cleanroom procedures and protocols with good proficiency in the main characterization tools (e.g. AFM, SEM, etc.). Fluency in English and good knowledge of Italian will be needed for the role. Practice with teamwork, group learning processes and problem-solving attitude, all equip the successful candidate.

He/She will be offered a contract with competitive remuneration depending on candidate’s experience.
