Aids for blind people
Projects
We intend to study how human compensate for the lack of information when attempting to navigate in natural environment, where the sole tactile channel is available.

To this end we developed a new device (DIGEYE which is under a patenting process) to test and validate some fundamental aspects on sensory substitution as well as an aid for blind people.

The experiments are conducted in collaboration with Dott.ssa Cristina Martinoli, Dott.ssa Laura Lucagrossi, Dott.ssa Tania Violin from
Istituto David Chiossone ONLUS, Genova (see Links for further information)
