Bio

Angelica Monica Chiodoni was born in Turin in 1973

EDUCATION

2005 - Ph.D. In Physics at the Politecnico di Torino. Thesis title: "
Multilayers characterization for semiconductor-superconductor integration - structural properties and their correlation with electrodynamic properties of superconducting films grown on substrates for the semiconductor-superconductor integration"
2001 - Degree in Material Science at the Università Degli Studi di Torino.

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

1st December 2009 - today

Since December A. Chiodoni is a researcher of  IIT at the Centre for Space Human Robotics-Politecnico di Torino. Her scientific activity is devoted to the development and characterization of materials and devices for the energy harvesting and storage (e.g. photovoltaic, batteries, microbial fuel cells,…). In particular, her activity is focused on the characterization and processing of materials by means of X-ray diffraction, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM - in the very next future), in collaboration with the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering of the Politecnico of Torino.

9th October 200930th November 2009

A. Chiodoni is post-doc guest in the group of prof. A. Rizzi (IV. Physikalisches Institut - Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany) in the framework of the “Nanolicht” European project, for TEM characterization of InN nanowires, and in particular for the TEM characterization of the InN-In2O3 interface.

1st July 2005 – 30th November 2009
Post-Doc activity at the Politecnico di Torino focused mainly on
the characterization of different micro and nanostructured materials and devices by means of Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), and on the study of the structural properties of innovative photoanodes for Graetzel solar cells (Dye Sensitized solar Cells).
