Bio
Elisa graduated in Biology in 2003 (University of Genova). Her research activity started at Clinical and Experimental Immunology Laboratory of IRCCS G. Gaslini in Genova. Here she first got a PhD in Immunology, Vaccinology and Organ Transplantations and then she went on working as post-doc. The main topic of the research was the characterization of Natural Killer (NK) cell receptors and the identification of their ligands. Recently she was also involved in investigating the role played by NK cells in the improvement of hematopoietic stem cell transplantations. During her scientific training she acquired skills in molecular biology and experience in cell cultures. In particular she focused on the production and purification of soluble receptors in mammalian cell lines. Elisa joined D3 in January 2010.
